Capturing the Magic Kayla + AJ's Wedding Day
As an Arizona-based wedding and engagement photographer, I have the privilege of capturing some of the most special moments in people's lives. Kayla and AJ's wedding day at Kayla's private family estate in Mesa, Arizona, was no exception. From the bride and groom's genuine laughs and smiles to the touching moments between family and friends, it was truly a day to remember. Here are some of my favorite highlights from this beautiful wedding.
Love and Laughter on your Wedding Day
One of my favorite moments from this wedding day was capturing the bride and groom's genuine laughter. As a photographer, I know that sometimes the best way to get those genuine smiles is by telling the couple to whisper something that only they would find hilarious. This photo is proof that the concept works!
I also love incorporating some movement into my wedding party photos, and this wedding was no exception. After getting the classic posed shots, I suggested doing a tunnel shot with the big wedding party, and they had so much fun with it. It allowed them to let loose and bring that childlike energy into the photos, which were full of joy.
I vote we have Flower Dudes from here on out
Another highlight of the day was when one of AJ's groomsmen took on the role of "Flower Dude" and absolutely nailed it. The fun and playful energy of the wedding party was contagious, and it was a joy to capture their exuberance on camera.
Cheers to his forever love
As always, I love seeing the vulnerability of true friends during those moments before the ceremony. The quick speeches from AJ's friends were genuine and filled with deep friendship love, and it was touching to see the boys get a quick cheers in before walking the aisle.
There is no love like that of a father
One of the most emotional moments of the day was the first look between Kayla and her father. It was a beautiful reminder of the love and pride that parents have for their children, especially on such a special day.
Finally, after the nerves before the first look and vows were over, it was clear that AJ was ready to conquer the day with his love by his side. It's always a joy to see couples take that first step together, knowing that they are about to embark on an incredible journey.
Kayla and AJ's wedding day was full of magic, and I feel grateful to have been able to capture these special moments on camera. As a wedding and engagement photographer, I know that these moments are fleeting, but the memories will last a lifetime.
