It's important that photographers and their clients have a genuine connection. I'd love to meet with you over the phone during my free consultation and go over details so we can put together a vision for our session. That way we know we are a good fit for each other.
FAQs
-
A consultation is an opportunity for us to discuss your vision and needs, ask questions, and get to know each other.
During this consultation, we can discuss details such as the date and location of your session/wedding, the type of images you would like to capture, my availability, and all things in between.
Truly, this time is for you as the client and me as the photographer to start our relationship strong and see if we are a good fit for each other.
-
Consultations typically last between 30 minutes and an hour.
However, this can vary depending on the complexity of your needs and how in detail we get during this initial conversation.
-
I am available to meet for a consultation over the phone or in-person. I also offer virtual consultations through video conferencing platforms. Whichever is most convenient for you!
If you are interested in meeting in-person or a virtual consultation please let me know in advance and we can figure out the details.

You don’t technically have to bring anything to your consultation.
However, it's helpful to come prepared with some specific information and questions. This can help me get a better understanding of your vision and create a more personalized experience for you.
Some things you might consider bringing or discussing during our consultation include:
-Your vision and inspiration for your shoot: Bring along any inspiration boards, photos, or other visual aids that help describe the look and feel you want to achieve. A lot of people rely on their pins to Pinterest boards. ;)
-Your budget: Discussing your budget upfront will help me understand if I can meet your needs and if my pricing aligns with your financial goals.
-Dates and scheduling: Make sure to discuss availability and any other scheduling concerns you may have. The further in advance you schedule your consult, the greater possibility I am available for your session.
-Specific requests: If there is any specific information or special requests you’d like to incorporate (props, outfit changes, pets, accessibility needs, etc.) please be sure to discuss these with me during the consultation. While I don’t expect a shot list, if there are any specific shots you would like please let me know!
-Your desired outcome: Are you looking for portraits to hang on your wall, images for social media, or something else? Knowing your desired outcome will help me tailor my services to meet your specific needs as well as offer any recommendations to help further accomplish that vision.
-Questions and concerns: Be sure to bring any questions or concerns you may have about anything! I want this to be an open and trusting relationship with clear communication, so let’s start it off strong here.
Overall, the consultation is a great opportunity for you to get to know me as your photographer, discuss your vision and requirements, and make sure we are both on the same page before moving forward with booking your session.

Nope! All of my initial consultations are FREE!

This is my favorite question to answer…
Yes! You can absolutely book a shoot during the consultation if you are ready to do so. With so many photographers to choose from, I would be honored to capture your session.
-
If scheduling a session during your consultation, I will need a few things to secure your session.
Confirmation of the date;
Signed contract;
Deposit of 35% of total session cost. This percentage may vary depending on the type of session. Payment accepted via Zelle, Paypal, Venmo, Cashapp, or Cash.
Once those three things are complete, your session date is secured!
